This site is located on the north side of the St. Joseph River on the east side of the downtown bridge, the Historic Marker reads:
Blue Star Memorial, a tribute to the Armed Forces that have defended the United States of America.

In a small memorial park located directly on the north shore of the St. Joseph River, the park also holds an interesting recognition monument titled, “THOSE WHO SERVED”. It contains all the located names of men and women to served their country from the Union City community. The memorial park also holds a small tribute marker that reads, “In honor of all who have served in operation Iraqi Freedom Operation enduring Freedom”. It is in honor of two U.S. Marines, Craig Watson and Anthony Matteoni.
